net-a-porter sale

I have never shopped online at Net-A-Porter before because it is usually so expensive and way out of my price range. I, however, recently heard about their sale from reading other blogs and I was so surprised at how reasonable some of the items were. I skimmed through the sale section and saw a bunch of things I wanted to snag up! Below are some of my favorites. I'm assuming the items will go fast since this sale is so good! Get your wallets ready!

1. Karl Lagerfeld Shirt @ $149 $74.50
4. Levi's Silk Shirt @ $215 $129
5. T by Alexander Wang Skirt @ $190 $133
6. Zoe Karssen Sweatshirt @ $125 $87.50
7. Rag and Bone Crepe Shorts @ $255 $153
8. Equipment Silk Shirt @ $208 $145.60

Which is your favorite? I'm thinking that #2 and #4 are mine!

I am craving these Zara heel/wedge combination shoes since I don't own anything like them. These shoes are so unique and they look quite comfortable due to the thick heel and platform (that is important!). They are black and blush meaning they would basically match anything, plus you can't beat the price! I'm thinking of going to the store right now because I am so in love!

Can we please talk about the Nashville season finale?! I have never seen so many cliffhangers in my life! Nearly every storyline and couple were left in some sort of limbo. I was anxious, scared, excited, and on the edge of my seat all episode long. I cannot wait until the fall to see how this all plays out!

Favorite Look

As you can tell from this post and this post, I am really loving the casual meets dressed up look right now. I love the Celine Me Alone tee in general, but thinking of it paired with a leather skirt and a statement necklace makes it a must-have. This outfit is low key, yet it still looks very polished and chic. I just bought a similar skirt and now I only need the tee to complete the look!

Little, bright spaces are very inspiring. This particular space is so cool because of all the little details. I love that the photos are hung up with colorful tape instead of in frames. The color of the table and mirror are almost the same, but the slight difference makes both stand out on their own. The little pops of yellow and blue jazz it up as well. And last but not least, that rug... amazing!

stowaways

((bright creamer labels))

I am sure you all are getting sick of all of the stowaways and fave five posts getting rattled off at you, but I promise I will not let myself get this far behind again! This is now the stowaways post for the week of May 12th. Nothing too exciting happened around here except that some out of town friends came and visited that weekend, which always makes for a fun time! I am thinking that trips to visit friends and getaways to the beach are in serious order this summer! Is anyone going anywhere fun during these warm months? I am trying to think of cool things to do on the weekends to break up the monotony of the work week. Any ideas would be welcomed!

I have always wanted thin stackable rings like this set from Stella and Dot. You get five rings for only $39... what a deal! You can wear these stacked with all five on the same finger, wear them on different fingers, or only wear one. The possibilities are endless! It is cool that they come in both a gold and silver color so you can mix and match with other jewelry you own. These rings are going on my wish list stat! PS: This weekend (Memorial Day weekend), you get free shipping on orders over $100 at Stella and Dot!

Now that most shows are over for the season, there are very few choices for TV viewing. One show that is still on the air is MTV's Awkward. I'm not one to usually watch MTV shows, but this one is very cute and showcases the awkwardness of the high school years. I may be a little old to watch this, but it does not stop me! If anyone is in the market for a show to watch this summer, this one may be it!

This ensemble is so casual, but still looks very pulled together. It is the perfect outfit for running errands or hanging with friends in the afternoon. She looks endlessly cool with her Converse sneakers and black cotton dress. I just bought a pair of Converse's, so I may need to emulate this outfit in the very near future complete with sunglasses and a topknot.

I am not exactly in the market for a headboard or bed frame as my little apartment bedroom does not quite accommodate one. If I was in the market for one, however, I would want a bed frame that looked exactly like this one. The white brightens up the room and the tufted look is gorgeous. You could mix and match any color or patterned bedding and it would still work with this bed frame.

stowaways

((beautiful flowers for the best mom in the world!))

Still chugging away on the past stowaways posts...! This post coincides with Mother's Day, which was a lot of fun celebrating my momma. We had brunch and just hung out with each other all day. It was nice having the entire family back together! I think my mom really enjoyed the day! In other news, The Tone It Up Bikini Series (I talked about it here) is going well, but it sure is hard to work out every day! The Tone It Up girls give you really interesting and different workouts and tips every week to stay on track. If you haven't checked out their site, I highly recommend it. Perfect for the upcoming season!

fave five

As I said in the last stowaways post, things have been busy around here so I do apologize for my lack of posting. I am trying to catch up on some old fave five posts (slowly but surely!), so without further ado here is the fave five post for the week of April 28th.

How amazing is this off-the-shoulder blouse from Shopbop? It is so unique with the added sleeves on what would look like a strapless top. The color and chiffon fabric are perfect for this time of year. I love the fact that it can be dressed down with cutoffs like in the above photo, but it would also look perfect with leather pants or a short skirt. I even think I would shell out the $141 for this top!

The networks have decided which shows will stay on the air and which shows have been relegated to the past. One of my favorite shows that did not make the cut this year was Happy Endings. The show was so funny that I laughed throughout each and every episode. I am hearing some rumors that the USA network may pick it up and I hope the rumors are true. This show deserves some more air time!

Lacy skirt? Check. Lightweight sweater? Check. The perfect warm weather outfit? Check. I love how the casual sweater dresses down the fancy lace skirt. This ensemble would be great to wear to brunch with friends, a coffee date, or a fun shopping trip. I need to pick up something like this stat!

This room looks so cozy I cannot stand it! Cuddling up in this bed with the stark white sheets in the woodsy atmosphere sounds like a great weekend getaway. The decor is minimalist, but it doesn't look boring since the structure of the building is so intricate. Even though I do not have these kind of walls or ceiling, I can still take tips from this room.

stowaways

((the most adorable card my mom gave me when I moved out))

I did it again and have not posted for weeks! Things have been crazy between acclimating to a new living situation and starting a new job (!!!). I am going to try to catch up on some old stowaways posts as well as some old fave five posts, so bare with me. I am so happy that it is finally warm outside and I do not need to wear my North Face everyday. It's the little things! I need to start spending more time outside hanging by the pool, walking around town, and going to some baseball games. What are some fun activities to do outside now that the winter temperatures have disappeared?!

PS: This is the stowaways post for the week of April 28th... better late than never!

warm weather booties

((image via))

I have always been a fan of flat/low-heeled booties in the winter as they were an easy and comfortable option when you just did not want to wear heels. Now I am starting to think that flat booties would be a chic option in the warmer months as well. Flat booties paired with cut-offs or a dress would be the perfect summer look. They are a laid-back, cool style and I am leaning towards them over sandals (except of course when the temperature is scorching!). I bought this pair a month or so ago and I am thinking I may need to invest in one of the below as well for summer. What do you think? Would you wear flat booties in the summer? Which is your favorite?

1. Sam Edelman Petty 2 Booties in New Navy @ $130 $104.99
2. Frye Jillian Chelsea Booties in Whiskey @ $228
3. H by Hudson Rosse Booties in Calf Black @ $295 $209.99
4. Very Volatile Zambra Booties in Black @ $99 $69.99
6. Messeca Tito Booties in Black @ $240 $169.99
7. Bass Hadley Beatle Bootie in Tan @ $69.95
8. Crown Vintage Tabitha Bootie in Taupe @ $59.95
9. Escote Gordon Cutout Boot in Brown @ $69

My favorites are #1 and #3! The Sam Edelman bootie comes in so many different colors that it's hard to choose the one I want. I love the new navy color (pictured above, #1), but I also love the smokey praline colored booties. Even the black ones are perfect! Decisions, decisions!
