1. This look for winter. I love the all black look (especially the boots) with a pop of white.

2.  Speaking of boots, I am obsessed with these Sam Edelman booties. They are definitely going on my Christmas wish list.

3. Taylor Swift's new song Blank Space.

4. The fact that the holidays are fast approaching. Thanksgiving is in less than 2 weeks!

5. Big, thick scarves... like this one from South Moon Under.

stowaways

I have been horrible with keeping up with posting! Time just gets away from me. But I love blogging and reading other blogs during the holidays, so I am going to try really hard to stay on top of my blogging game. I tend to update my Tumblr and Instagram a bit more often, so check those out if I am ever lacking on the posts around here.

Follow your heart and don't bend! This is the perfect quote to start the work week.
Go after what you want!
Have a great week!

1. This vest. It is so hippie chic and can be paired with a multitude of looks.

2. The new seasons of Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Mindy Project. Both are super hilarious and make me laugh out loud during every episode.

3. This post on A Cup of Jo about 10 lessons she learned in her career. The post definitely made me think about my career and what I want out of a job.

4. The fact that my mom, sister, and I are planning on going to a winery and apple picking in the near future. I will be sure to take lots of photos when we do.

5. The new fall candle scents at Bath and Body Works like Fresh Balsam and Salted Caramel Corn.

fall fashion must-haves

Fall fashion is my absolute favorite. I love chunky sweaters, boots, and dark pants. Now is the time to stock up on your "can't-live-withouts" and embrace the cooler weather. Below are some pieces that I want in my closet ASAP so I can wear them all throughout the season.

1. Everlane Silk Blouse
2. Asymmetrical Zip Wool Coat
3. Zara Long Cardigan
4. Sleeveless Coat
5. Zara Checked Shirt
6. Sam Edelman 'Jacey' Booties
7. Faux Fur Loop Scarf
8. Sam Edelman 'Pembrooke' Boots
9. Zara High Neck Sweater

Doesn't Sam Edelman have the best shoes? I would buy all of their shoes if I could!

I recently bought the faux fur scarf and it is so soft and warm. Great purchase, highly recommend! I want my next purchase to be the sleeveless coat. Such a unique piece!

stowaways

I love looking back at old stowaways posts and seeing what was happening in my life during that time. The photos may be blurry or out of focus, but the memories are still there.

Here are a few photos of life circa Fall 2014...

georgia on my mind

My family recently went down to Georgia to visit my sister. I went a few days early and caught the Chase Rice show at the Georgia Theatre. The Georgia Theatre is such an Athens and country music landmark and it was really cool to see a concert there. The UGA football team even showed up onstage for a bit! The rest of the weekend was filled with eating, shopping, tailgating, and watching the Dawgs play! A great weekend down south!

Photos of last year's trip to UGA can be found here.

1. This entire look. I am always into an all black outfit. I think it looks so chic and classic. Bring on the fall weather please!

2. These shoes. I realized that I had some Shoemint credits to use and now I know I need these shoes in my life.

3. Binge watching The West Wing on Netflix.

4. This Make A Wish Dogeared bracelet.

5. The fact that Prince William and Kate Middleton are having another baby!

piggy (or doggy) back rides

If you ever read this blog you know that I post a lot of photos of my dogs. We are a huge dog family and life is just better with a dog, in my opinion. Last year, my boyfriend adopted a little pitbull puppy from the Washington Humane Society. She is an absolute precious pup that constantly wants to be sitting next to you (or on top of you!) while you are holding her bone for her or petting her. She may be a bit of a diva, but she is the best!

For some reason, Reagan loves getting on people's backs and getting piggy back rides. If a piggy back ride isn't happening, she will gladly settle for getting carried like a baby. I do not understand it, but I find it adorable. I have snapped some photos of the scene a few times and I needed to share them because I think it is the funniest thing. This little pitbull is quite the character!

How can you resist that face?! :) :)

Sorry that most of the photos aren't the greatest quality. I take them with my iPhone in order to capture the moment ASAP.

stowaways

Summer could not have flown by any faster if it tried... I cannot believe we are already in mid-August. I am a sucker for the fall season, but I do not want these precious summer days to end. There is nothing more relaxing and tranquil than sitting poolside, reading a book, and sipping on a cocktail... all classic summertime activities. Here's to making the last days of summer the best days of summer!

concert in atlantic city

When we heard the likes of Smashmouth, Uncle Kracker, Blues Traveler, and Sugar Ray were putting on a concert in Atlantic City, we knew we had to be there. We grew up listening to the stylings of these bands and knew their concert would be a show to see. We were not wrong! The quartet of bands put on an amazing performance in AC complete with all of the 90's classics.

We spent the day walking the boardwalk and pier and the night singing and dancing. Throw in a little blackjack, drinks poolside, and some tasty eats and we had ourselves a wonderful two-day excursion. Atlantic City sure is something else and it provided the backdrop to a perfect weekend getaway.

Below are some pictures I snapped with my iPhone during the trip. The ones at the concert are a little blurry, but I thought they were still worth posting.

Have you all been to any throwback concerts recently? There is something about a concert in the summer that I find hard to pass up!
