Now that fall is officially here, it is time to dress the part! I want lots of boots, leather, beanies, and plaid in my life right about now. This outfit is the epitome of fall in my book. Wearing this outfit while sipping a pumpkin spice latte and watching Sunday football sounds just about perfect.

georgia visit

My family recently took a trip to Georgia to visit one of my sisters. It was a fun, crazy trip and I felt like I was back in college. Athens, Georgia is definitely the epitome of a college town. We tasted southern cuisine, partied at the college bars, and went to a Georgia Bulldog football game. It is always a great time when my whole family is back together and it was even better reuniting in beautiful, sunny Georgia. I wish my college days weren't behind me, but it was nice to pretend they weren't for a weekend. Below are a few photos I took from the trip.

One of my college friends recently got engaged and had an engagement party a few weeks ago. It was such a fun, festive event that I wanted my outfit to mirror that excitement. I usually stick to basic colors (black, white, grey), but figured that a bright, patterned dress would be the best bet for this event. I wore a bright, floral dress and paired it with my new leather jacket (seen in this wish list, #2). I couldn't wear all bright colors now could I?! The festivities were so fun and I am glad I chose such a colorful dress for the occasion.

Side note: Nobody was around to take these photos for me, so I used the self-timer on my camera. I just stood where I thought the camera would take the picture... haha... thought I should share that little disclaimer!

Zara has so many amazing pieces for every occasion. This store is becoming one of my favorite go-to's for stylish and unique items to add to my closet. This outfit is head to toe Zara. I am loving the outfit for a date night or a girl's night out. Either way, I want all of these pieces to become mine as soon as possible! Since it is a black and white outfit (which is my favorite), everything becomes very versatile. Plus, none of these items are very expensive (all under $100!), so I can justify buying it all!

sister style

It has been so long since I did a sister style post, so I thought it was time to bring it back. My sister recently wore such a cute outfit to work that I had to snap a few photos. She wore a scalloped J. Crew dress (I obviously love scallops...!) with a blush blazer (seen here and here) and a statement necklace. She looked polished and classic, but very fashion forward for work. I obviously had to borrow the dress the next week. That's what sisters are for, right?!

shoe mint favorites

Shoe Mint, the members only website curated by Rachel Bilson, has so many amazing pairs of shoes out now. All of the shoes are at a reasonable price point and there are a lot of different styles and designs to choose from. I am thinking of kickstarting fall with some new cooler weather shoes (or heels, can never pass up a good pair of heels!). I am in a bit of a shoe obsession right now and would rather buy some killer boots than a new top. I have had my eye on a few items for some time now and it may be time to take the plunge. Happy September! It is crazy that August is over and done with and that the weather is starting to feel like fall. I ended up going to the beach for the long Labor Day weekend, which was so much fun. I am glad I decided on the beach since that may be the last time I will be able to go this year. We went to the same place we did last year for Labor Day. Days were spent on the beach and hanging in the waves, while nights were spent gorging on delicious food and sipping margaritas. Now it is time to embrace the fall with all things pumpkin, football, and fashion! I am still going to enjoy the last few weeks of official summer days though!
