stowaways: cancun

My family vacation down to Cancun, Mexico could not have been better. The weather was amazing, the ocean was pristine, and the margaritas were top notch. We sun bathed on the beach, swam in the pool, snorkeled in the reefs, and tried every specialty drink on the menu. I did not want to leave! The trip made me that much more anxious for the summer.

My bathing suit cover-up is One Teaspoon and my bikini top is Maaji. Both are on sale at Swell.

None of these photos were edited or filtered. Just a beautiful place. Wish I could go back right now!

I am off to retreat to the beach!

I will be back with lots of photos and hopefully a tan! See you in a week!

the mints

As you all may already know, I have been a huge fan of the Shoe Mint and Style Mint members-only shopping websites for a long time. The sites are curated by fashion insiders and celebrities and come out with new collections every month. I literally have to hold back from buying the entire site on the first of each month!

These sites are so great because the price point is very reasonable. You won't be breaking the bank, but you will still be purchasing high quality, fashionable, and chic pieces. You are charged a "credit" each month to use to purchase a new item. You can, however, decide to "skip" a month by the 5th and you won't be charged. There really is no downside to becoming a member of this exclusive site. Plus, they always have sales and it is free shipping and returns. How can you not love it?!

Below are a few of my favorite Shoe Mint and Style Mint pieces.

bikinis & cover-ups

I am so incredibly excited to be hitting the Mexican beaches in a week. I am ready for some sun, the ocean, margaritas, and a tan. It has been so long since I slipped into a bathing suit that I think my collection needs an update. Here are a few bikinis I have been crushing on lately. I need to act fast since I will be in the waves faster than you can say "what is going on with the weather this winter? why can't it  be 85 degrees year round instead of below freezing for the past 3 months. at least I am heading to salvation soon!" ... or something like that!

stowaways

A few photos of life lately while I am (not so) patiently waiting for pool weather to get here...

At least we are in March now! And I apologize in advance that stowaways has now become solely pictures of my dogs! :)

classic black and white

((J. Crew silk button-down shirt, Paige coated black jeans, Nike rain coat, Forever 21 silver bracelet, Francesca's Closet bracelet, Silpada Modern Maze ring, Urban Outfitter's knuckle rings, BCBGeneration booties))

I am not one who usually wears lots of colors and patterns. I usually stick to the classics when it comes to my wardrobe. The black and white color combination never goes out of style and it always looks chic and effortless. This silk button-down is so versatile that you can wear it bar hopping or to a work meeting. Either way, I will always tend to gravitate towards this look.
