((Eric Church concert))

This past week and weekend were full of excitement. My dad's birthday was this week, so we had a multi-day celebration. It was definitely a birthday to remember if I do say so myself! The weekend started off with the Eric Church/Justin Moore/Kip Moore country concert. It was such a fun concert and all of the performers were amazing. I would go see them again in a heartbeat. If you haven't heard any of their songs, you should go and check them out asap! Hope you all had a fun weekend as well!

Happy Birthday Dad! We love you!

So, tomorrow I'm takin' me fishin', hang a sign on the door of my life, tell the world that I've gone missin' and I won't be back for awhile... -Eric Church

This past weekend my sister, mom, and I went to the Eric Church/Justin Moore/Kip Moore concert and it was absolutely fantastic! Since it was a country concert after all, I had to wear my cowboy boots. I do not get the chance to wear them very often, so I was very excited to bust them out. This outfit was ideal for the concert since it mixed country, dressy, and comfort. I wish I could see this concert all over again!

I cannot believe how far we are into fall already and that Thanksgiving and Christmas are just around the corner. I do love this time of year oh so much! The weather is absolutely perfect and the changing leaves and pumpkins just make me so happy. The only problem is that I am currently sick, which is not ideal. I guess I will have to eat my weight in pumpkin muffins and cake in order to nurse myself back to health! Regardless, here are a few things keeping me preoccupied until the holiday season is truly upon us!

Be happy, and a reason will come along. -Robert Brault

jewelry reorganizing

I have always found it hard to organize my jewelry. I used to use a standard jewelry box, but it became so hard to see what was in there and everything became a tangled mess. Then I moved to storing my bracelets on acrylic jewelry stands. Those, however, became cramped and most jewelry just found their way to my dresser. I finally decided it was time to reorganize! I bought a few extra items from Target in their kitchen section and they have made all the difference. I can see everything I have and there is easy access to all. Not only is it practical, but it also looks 1,000 times nicer. Here is the before and after!

As it is pretty obvious at this point, I wear black pants almost exclusively when I go out. I find them more flattering and sharper looking than jeans or any other option. I am looking to spice it up a bit, but for now they are my go-to. This time I wore black pants with a more girly, summery shirt. I was trying for a bit of a contrast between hard black pants and a softer top.

When dressing for the concert I went to last weekend, I wanted to make sure I would be comfortable as the venue was standing room only. I also wanted to be stylish and dressy enough as this was a concert after all! I got this top for Christmas a few years back and I still love wearing it today. It is a classic top that can be worn in many different situations, including a late night concert!

stowaways

Sorry for the late stowaways post for last week! It has been crazy over here. Last weekend, I went to a fantastic concert. I hadn't been to a concert in a while and this one was perfect. It was at a fun venue and the singers (Ryan Bingham and the Americans) were great, not to mention the company I was with! An all around fun night! I would recommend going to a Ryan Bingham concert to anyone. Other than that highlight of last weekend, days were spent relaxing and enjoying the weather with family and friends.

Has anyone else been to a Ryan Bingham concert before? What did you think?

And this ain't no place for the weary kind, this ain't no place to lose your mind, this ain't no place to fall behind, pick up your crazy heart and give it one more try. -Ryan Bingham

sheer night out

((Lucca Couture top via Urban Outfitters, Blank NYC pants, Nordstrom necklace, South Moon Under ring, Nixon watch, Boots from DSW))

This is one of my favorite tops because it can be worn in both the summer due to the sheer fabric or fall
since it is a long-sleeve blouse. The stripes are universally flattering and the accents make the shirt a little dressier. I recently wore this outfit for a night out with friends. The only down side to this top is it is very fragile and the back seam rips easily. It only takes a quick stitch to fix, but you do have to keep the crazy dance moves to a minimum when wearing it!

RIP my favorite boots... Does anyone know where I can get a similar pair?!

stowaways

Last weekend was completely relaxing, which was much needed after the extremely busy work week. The week was supplemented with some great TV and the weekend was spent indulging in some pumpkin beers (delicious!) and lounging outside. Fully embracing fall over here! Here are some small, but enjoyable events and happenings from the past week. Hope October is treating you all well! Next step, deciding what to be for Halloween!

pumpkin cream cheese muffins

As we are in full fledge fall mode now, my sister (the true baker of the family) decided to make pumpkin cream cheese muffins from this recipe yesterday. This recipe site is great because you can check-off when you have put in an ingredient to make sure you don't forget anything. Helpful for us baking novices! The results were delicious and are perfect for breakfast, snack, or dessert (or all 3 in my case!). The best part is with the leftover canned pumpkin, she combined it with spice cake mix and cream cheese frosting for another delicious pumpkin masterpiece for the house. I can't get enough of either!
