labor day outfit
summer sale
With Labor Day weekend in a few days and the unofficial end of summer approaching, I am trying to find some summer items to snag up for a steal. Everyone is looking to buy fall clothes (me included), but there are still some summer pieces to purchase. I want to buy some warm weather things on sale that I can wear while it is still hot out, but can also be worn to transition to fall. Getting more bang for my buck that way! Below are some of my favorite summer sale items to snag up before they run out (or at least before it gets too cold out!). Which is your favorite?

chambray and leather
((Style Mint tee, Madewell chambray sleeveless top, ASTR faux leather skirt (on sale!), Jawbone Up, Francesca's Closet bracelet, Coach ring, Tiffany & Co. mesh ring, Forever 21 black chain necklaces, my mom's vintage pearl necklace, YT Clothing cross necklace, Franco Sarto wedges (on sale!), Nixon watch))
I bought this asymmetrical hemline vegan leather skirt awhile ago, but could never find anything to wear with it. Everything I tried on just did not seem to work. I recently decided I was going to try this dressed up skirt with a more casual top and see how it looked. I decided on a loose tee and a chambray sleeveless top to pair with the skirt. I'm still figuring out what works best with it, but I am hoping to get more use out of it in the fall. What kind of top do you think works best with this type of skirt? Any tips would be helpful since I am having such trouble figuring it out!

stowaways
((beach relaxation))
I am enjoying the new version of one big stowaways post every few weeks instead of once a week. There are so many more interesting photos to choose from this way! I cannot believe that the summer is almost over and this weekend is already Labor Day. I just got back from a two-day beach trip, which was so fun and relaxing. Only so many more of those can happen before it gets too cold (sadddd...). The puppy is still so great! I think she is brilliant and perfect, but I am a little biased. Do you all have any Labor Day plans? I'm still deciding whether to go to the beach or hang out poolside for the long weekend. I have to make the most out of the unofficial end of summer! Hope you all have a joyful and relaxing long weekend ahead!

camo jacket
((Sanctuary camo jacket, Splendid top (on sale!), Express shorts, Mossimo booties, Madewell necklace, YT Clothing cross necklace, Silpada Modern Maze ring, Tiffany & Co. mesh ring, Nixon watch, Jawbone Up))
In my latest wish list post, I said I was craving this camo jacket by Sanctuary. I finally bought it and am so happy with my purchase. I recently wore it out one night to the park with the puppy and it kept me warm and stylish, not to mention it was very comfortable to walk around in. I know this jacket will be a regularly worn item in the fall. The camo trend is still in full tilt, but I know this jacket will stand the test of time. If anyone is looking for a lightweight, fashionable fall jacket this one is the ticket!

baked brie and jam pockets
It has been awhile since I did a food post on the blog, so here it goes! Lately at my house, we have been making these little baked brie and jam crescent roll pockets. I posted about a similar, full-sized version before and it was so delicious. We thought it would be fun to make the appetizer personalized, so we made little crescent roll pockets. Now instead of using one big crescent roll to put the ingredients into, we used little, individual rolls. All you have to do is unwrap the crescent roll dough and put it in a cupcake tin. Then fill it with brie and jam. Next, just fold the crescent roll back up and pinch it together. Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for about 12-15 minutes. I love the individual, semi portion-controlled version of the baked brie recipe. This has become a staple for Sunday night dinners!

fall fashion
Stores are already stocking up on fall fashion and selling out of summer styles. When I walked into South Moon Under the other day, I was overwhelmed with how many good pieces they have for fall. I wanted basically the entire store that I had to leave before I spent all of my money. It is only a matter of time before I go back and buy out the inventory, but until then here are a few favorites currently on my South Moon Under wish list.
9. Double-V Knuckle Ring

stowaways: catch-up
((bright orange flowers))
I'm back! It has been over a month since I last posted. Where has the time gone? Since I have such trouble staying on top of the stowaways posts (which I can partially blame on binge watching Sons of Anarchy), I decided to do one big catch-up post instead of an individual one for each week I missed. This way I can still share photos of the goings-on in my life while having more time to post about more interesting things. Hope that works for you all!
The month of July was a busy one from 4th of July celebrations to trips to New England and the beach mixed in with family time and hanging out with friends. Plus Beyonce and Paul McCartney concerts for good measure! The most exciting news of late is that my boyfriend got a puppy! She is the most adorable, sweetest, precious pup around. I am in love! I'm sure you will be seeing a lot of pictures of her on here. Other than spoiling her, I have been hanging out poolside, spending quality time with the family, and soaking in the summer. I hope July treated you all well! Here's to a fabulous August!
